Reframe your differences as superpowers
Work smarter, not harder
Belong without having to “fit in”
I’m looking for no more than 12 senior neurodivergent women who are seeking, and offering to provide, connection, empathy and support to each other for 12 months to continue to create a sustainably successful professional life.
Suitable for Executives and Entrepreneurs.
Inaugural program starts on Friday 28 March 2025
Incredible female talent is disadvantaged by their differences.
For the most part, without even knowing it.
A shocking 80% of neurodivergent women are not diagnosed before the age of 18.
A late diagnosis brings up complex layers of emotions and identities need to be redefined,
all the while, trying to maintain a successful career.
An atypical woman in a typical workplace is made to feel like a square peg
always trying to fit into a round hole.
People either under-estimated her or, worse, seemed intimidated by her. She gets used to overwhelming feelings of being weird, awkward, lonely and isolated, anxious, frustrated and angry.
She’s always wondering: why don’t I belong, aren’t I worthy?
How do I know all this?
I am a late diagnosed neurodivergent woman who reached the executive level and
unfortunately chose to opt out of the BS rather than face it full on.
Explore and define what it means to be your unique, amazing and neurodivergent self in a professional setting.
Learn to better manage your energy to prevent (or recover) from burnout and avoid making career limiting mistakes at work.
Become your own anthropologist so that you can fit in without having to "fit in" and save compromising your personality and your values.
Develop practical skills and strategies to work smarter, not harder, so that you don't need to work those crazy long hours.

A Circle of unlike-minded women who are navigating their atypical leadership strengths and style within a typical professional world who support one another to be their authentic selves.
Safe and supportive monthly discussions where peer learning is augmented with targeted and tailored information and frameworks that develop practical skills and strategies.
Two optional retreats held in the beautiful Minnamurra region of NSW to deep dive into your personal wellness practice and to explore your future goals as an authentic leader.
Via Zoom
Our first session is all about connection and setting the tone for our time together: holding a safe and supportive space for each other where being authentic is the expectation.
During this discussion we will cover the structure and resources of the program, introductions and completion of a baseline professional engagement survey.

As late diagnosis and discovery of neurodivergence can be unsettling, this discussion will support us to explore our identity as a neurodivergent professional in order to deepen an authentic sense of self.
We’ll cover neurodiversity fundamentals to develop a clearer and concise narrative for normalising neurodiversity in our organisations.
Via Zoom
In this discussion with Mental Health GP, Dr Jess Nathan from Kintsugi Holistic Health, we will explore the cycle of energy and the strategies we can use to improve our baseline and potential.
Targeted tools will enable us to understand and define our own energy cycles so that we can identify and implement strategies that optimise energy, positive emotions and engagement with work.
In person at Twin Figs Farm
Twin Figs Farm, located two hours south of Sydney’s CBD, will play host to our optional retreat. The program is designed for us to relax, reset and rejuvenate our wellness and life goals for a healthier and happier life.
Supplementary fee applies.
Via Zoom
Due to heightened sensory sensitivities, the physical environment/s in which we work have a significant impact on our wellbeing and leadership capacities. In this discussion we will explore the relationship between our work, workplaces and energy cycles and positive strategies for regulating our nervous system.
Via Zoom
Occupational therapy is increasingly being used to support neurodivergent professionals to minimise sensory overload, improve focus, and support executive functioning. In this discussion we will work with an OT to understand useful workplace adjustments, balancing workloads to prevent burnout and accommodate fluctuating energy levels.
Via Zoom
We may be “executives” but we face executive functioning challenges over and above neurotypical peers. In this discussion, we’ll explore and share strategies for managing time, prioritising tasks, organisation, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Via Zoom
At the half way point of our journey together, we will decide together what our focus for this discussion will be. Options include smaller break out conversations to get to know each other better, a workshop in a particular skill-building area, member-facilitated discussions in their area of expertise or a guest speaker of our choice.
Via Zoom
Etiquette in organisations hasn’t disappeared entirely, but it has evolved in response to changes in work environments, technology, and cultural norms. The informality, hybrid workplaces and shifts in power dynamics can pose challenges for leaders. This discussion will be a chance for us to reflect on our personal brands and the standards we set for ourselves and others.
Via Zoom
Speech pathology is increasingly playing a transformative role in supporting neurodivergent professionals by focusing on communication strategies that enhance both personal and professional effectiveness. Mimi Naylor of TalkShop will support our discussion into organising thoughts, communication planning, verbal clarity, non-verbal cues and identity-affirming communication.
Via Zoom
As we come to the end of our journey, it is time to completely embrace our unique and amazing selves – and especially the differences. This discussion will focus on the role of authenticity in organisations; what does it really mean to “bring our whole selves to work”.
Via Zoom
Our last discussion of our journey together will be an opportunity to reflect on personal learnings and professional goals moving forward. For those joining our optional retreat, we will move directly into celebrations under the Fig Trees.
In person at Twin Figs Farm
Twin Figs Farm will again will play host to our optional retreat. This time, the program is designed to celebrate the journey and set goals for embracing an authentic future.
Don’t worry, there will be plenty of time for us to relax, reset and rejuvenate.
Supplementary fee applies.

I arrived at my mid 40s feeling confused, anxious, angry and then completely exhausted.
Turned out I had autistic burnout which led to chronic exhaustion, a loss of skills, reduced tolerance to stimulus and a loss of self-belief. My mission is to embrace my authentic self and unique superpowers to continue to succeed professionally, but on my own terms, and help others to do so too.I see things in a way that others can’t. I create order out of chaos, whether it is information, plans or pantries. I think logically and incredibly literally. And I Get Things Done.
I’m big picture and detail-oriented at the same time. For the right topic, I can hyperfocus and fixate until the sun goes down. I make up my own words and can be quite entertaining. And I can have childlike enthusiasm that doesn’t always sit well in a business setting.
I can miss social cues at work and appear aloof or aggressive. Or, I try so hard to be liked that I can come off inauthentic. I fight too many fights, seeing inefficiency or injustice everywhere.
I ask lots of questions and can interrupt inappropriately. I fidget, squirm, pick and scratch. And I bump into things, a lot.
I’m not always confident in my own abilities but I love helping others to see and achieve their unique potential.
With any investment in your professional development, it is natural to have some questions. Here are just a few, but please feel free to book an informal chat to ensure this is the right program for you.
No. From my experience, the diagnosis path is a daunting, comprehensive and expensive process. It is not necessary to be clinically diagnosed to self identify or self diagnose as neurodivergent. You are welcome to join this program if you experience the challenges of sustaining a successful professional life.
Group discussions are at 8am AEDT on the last Friday of the month and run for 90 minutes. The timing is designed to enable you to:
This group program is specifically designed for women. Joey offers Empowered Private which mirrors much of our signature Empowered Experience program. It includes the same online self-paced coursework, access to the community platform for additional resources and discussion and six 1:1 coaching sessions over 12 weeks. Enrol here.
Yes. If you pay in full you will save $767 (for this introductory offer) or opt for payment plan of $397 per week. Payment plans are not available for purchases made by organisations.
It is possible to purchase spaces to the Empowered program for your staff under a number of the existing Australian Government panels. Please contact Joey to arrange an invoice.
Of course! I’ve designed Empowered for a very specific talent pool that is underestimated and often under-utilised or mis-utilised. I’d welcome the opportunity to discuss how this program will help your staff to thrive at work and best contribute to your organisation’s performance.
I also offer workshops for managers about neurodivergence in the workplace and ways to lead neurodivergent staff. Please make a time with me and let’s have an informal chat.
Join Empowered risk free. If after attending the first group call you decide this program is not for you then we will happily refund you in full.
That’s fine, this is a big and important decision. Book some time to chat with Joey to confirm Empowered is right for you right now.
